How Programming and Coding are Beneficial to Our Lives
Question even the most reputed developer and the will plainly tell you that programming isn’t as easy as claimed to be. There is always this trepidation and uncertainty that you may not deliver technically especially if you are working for clients who want results. Basically, while coding, you are looking for a solution to a problem, and implementing all technical features can be a bit challenging; especially providing all the documentation of the processes done and debugging any errors.
As a programmer you are always bombarded with the challenge of figuring out how to implement the next technical features; which will provide a solution; which will solve a problem optimally. At times it might be an easy run. But other times it might be much traumatizing. Yet, there are important lesson that you can learn from programming like I (and most programmers) did.
When I started programming 5 years ago
The ride wasn’t as easy as I presumed. Foremost, I was a private student and most resources were from online developers’ community. They were my teachers and my mentors. They encouraged me a lot and helped me learn. However, I had a broad scope of computer development that I fathomed and thus learning was challenging. I never narrowed my ambition and I almost quit the course after two years and nothing to show of it. Yet, it’s inspiring that people can be self-taught, learn by reading and trying, and sometimes end up with .
Is Programming an Art or Craft?
You need to realize that programming is a craft just like pottery or sculpturing and in order for you to be best at any craft, you will not only need to practice a lot. But you need to narrow your scope; I’m talking about dealing with a particular segment as opposed to general programming, unless you are a pro.
For instance, you could just deal with programming and coding of web plugins or developing websites; by doing so, you will become better than trying to amass all the programming knowledge that is out there.
If you decide to stick to a particular niche
You need to be patient and keen at identifying any bugs and fixing them. This bit is the most challenging one especially for new entrant in the field. If your code is not working, just be patient and go through it step-by-step as you try to figure out what could have been wrong. Never give up even if tracking of the debugs proves a challenge.
How Coding helps our Logical, Analytical and problem Solving Skills
Coding is all about finding a problem; which needs a solution. The one thing in programming that you need to know is that as much as you are trying to provide a solution to a problem; you need to be crafty enough in coding in a manner that your work will be appealing to the end users the users of any programmed program do not care what efforts you took to bring your piece of coding to them as well as how interactive it is. Along with the appreciation that they have from benefiting from your work.
Mind, you most of programmed utilities and tools are usually distributed free of charge and your benefit may incur from their usage.
What this means
This typically means that you should have an appealing and magnificent design that adds value to the end user. Thinking of something appealing makes you sharper and innovative as you try to come up with more creative ways; which will be appealing to the users.
You will have to sharpen your logical and analytical thinking to ensure that you develop something appreciative. That means that you have to have a clear understanding of the underlying problem so that you can forecast the best solution.
Boosting Self-worth through Coding
Understanding a problem and formulating its solution help you to have a sharper memory of what you are doing. It is unlikely that you may forget a procedure. When I developed my first iOS app, I became profound of my development and it took all the fears away. As all developers will tell you, programming never ends; you always have to better your program/application to match the latest technologies. Once you get started, you have the courage to soldier on.
By having solutions to a problem that ease the workload and cost incurred as well as time, you become more confident in your life because you realize that you can offer a solution to a person’s problem. What is more fulfilling in life than living a purposeful life.
Programming Makes You More Brilliant
The human brain increase in value every time it undergoes and overcomes something challenging. Repetitive coding and programming work can be boring. But in the end it helps in brain development. Finding solutions to problems boost the performance of the brain and it also helps to make one bright in problem solving in this contemporary world.
More importantly is to realize that programming can be fun especially when you think of a problem and work all round to find the best solution. Above all, a career in coding is very rewarding.
